It was Hanan’s ambition, drive and desire to improve the lives of others that saw her excel in the field of Podiatry. As Hanan soon discovered, prescribing orthotics using skill, precision and a thorough understanding of the biomechanical function of the feet and legs was a large way that she was able to start changing lives.
More so than just prescribing excellent orthotics, Hanan quickly learnt the importance of keeping each patients goals, careers and lifestyle in mind when it came to their orthotics. She believes that every person has the right to stay active and keep living the life they love even when hindered by pain or injury, which is why Kane Orthotics offers a variety of sports-specific (and importantly sports shoespecific orthotics) for a variety of injuries and conditions.
Hanan’s ability to connect with and relate to people from a variety of cultures is one of the many things her patients enjoy and value about her. This stems from her diverse background; immigrating to New Zealand from Iran with her family at an early age and completing all her education here locally.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science specialising in Podiatry, Hanan has undertaken many postgraduate courses in the field of sports medicine and rehabilitation. Her special interest in pain management means she is able to significantly improve the lives of her patients through reducing not only short-term pain, but pain in the long-term, as well as the recurrence of her patients’ injuries. It is Hanan’s vision to see Kane Orthotics established as the leading orthotic provider in Auckland, and she is well on her way to achieving this with husband and Orthotic Specialist, Marty. Their greatest pride and joy is their children, Cyrus and Arya and they can’t wait to continue to watch them grow.
